Good things come from the kitchen of Mugwort Maggie!

This apothecary is a peek, if you will, into the cupboards of my own home. All items and remedies that I offer are used on a regular basis in my own household. Which means you can be sure all pantry and cosmetic items are mixed FRESH upon order. All personal items are also shrink banded for tamper resistance.

Along with the many other items I will be offering here in time, I make a wonderful all natural laundry soap that we have been using exclusively in our home for years. I’ve made it many different ways, but I’ve settled on a formula that cleans the BEST. Check out the Testimonials Page for great feedback I’ve gotten!

I am very fortunate so far, in my ability to stay home with my two beautiful daughters and home educate. They are my heart. Together we look after chickens, goats and the gardens. We live a very simple life out in the woods. We are surrounded and awed by the beauty, sounds, and smells of the earth, and I cannot imagine life for us any other way.

I grow most of the plants I use. Herbs that are gathered from the wild are from toxin free areas. My products are all hand-made by my girls and I. They have been helping me gather, wash, measure, and mix ingredients long before they were able to look after their own baskets.

When the weather is dreary, you are most likely to find me in the kitchen. I am constantly mixing, stirring and concocting. I have an impressive hoard of recipes. ;)

I love to be in a perpetual state of creation. I bake delicious herb infused cookies and herbal bread and I hope to offer some of my favorites here from time to time. I also make a natural alternative to commercial laundry soap, soy candles, a variety of bath teas and home-spa type beauty care products using both herbal and aroma therapies for different needs, herbal tinctures, nourishing herbal vinegars, and healing salves.
